Flocculation is a process where colloid particles come out of suspension in the form of ‘floc’ or flake so that they can then be efficiently separated from the water medium.
Water can be clarified through a process of flocculation, which enables particles to be quickly and easily separated from the water.
SNF’s range of flocculants are based on polyacrylamide copolymers providing the complete range of ionicities and molecular weights necessary to meet optimal performance for each applications.

SNF manufactures a wide range of organic coagulants based on several chemistries such as polyamines, polydadmacs and blends. They can be used alone or in combination with aluminium base inorganic coagulants, providing a consumption reduction of a 30-60%, reducing dramatically coagulation times, not only succeeding in reducing the treatment cost but also reducing the volume of the treated sludge and their disposal cost.
AQUASORB is a non-soluble cross-linked copolymer. AQUASORB has a water holding capacity of 50 to 120 times weight for weight. AQUASORB swells and becomes a hydrogel when it comes in contact with water.

HEAVY METAL REMOVAL
METALSORB is a range of sulfur based chemical precipitants that remove heavy metals in their ionized form from water.
METALSORB provides an easy, flexible and cost- efficient solution to heavy-metaremediation. The water-based solution catches divalent metal ions and creates insoluble salts that can be filtered out from water.
FLOWSPERSE
SNF’s range of Flowsperse dispersants can be used as anti-scalants for many inorganic scales in different environments. They also reduce bulk viscosity of high-solid slurries and maintain stability of finely-divided particle dispersion.
Flowsperse is also added to many detergent formulations. These products are commercially available in either an aqueous solution or in microbeads form.
FLOWFLOAT
Heavy foaming can lead to processing problems, and inhibit accurate readings from controls and measuring equipment.
SNF’s range of defamers and antifoams can help reduce foaming.
Silicone antifoams remain the best solution to foaming problems because they offer better efficiency to cost compared to organic antifoams.
Silicone based products have a low surface tension, are insoluble in the floating medium and offer a good spreading coefficient. Using silicone oil and silica particles, FLOFOAM products work to reduce foaming.
